The prototype for the subsea separation system was developed by FMC Technologies in partnership with Petrobras research and development division Cenpes.
“We have successfully delivered the Marlim deep-water processing systems to Petrobras on schedule. As it stands, subsea installation has been completed,” said FMC chief executive John Gremp.
“As soon as the modification work on the topside is finished, the system will be commissioned and Petrobras will begin its evaluation of this new technology.”
