Malaysia’s state-owned oil and gas company Petronas expects to achieve production start-up in November from its shallow-water D28 field off Sarawak, writes Amanda Battersby.
The wellhead platform’s topsides has sailed away from local contractor OceanMight’s Kuching yard and is set to be installed later this month.
OceanMight also built the platform’s jacket, which was installed in August at the D28 field, under an engineering, procurement, construction, transportation, installation and commissioning contract.
