The asset, first relinquished by Total which then successfully bid for the acreage in Angola’s licensing round in 2006, has played host to the Gardenia-1 exploration well that flowed 4000 barrels per day of 25 degrees API crude during tests. The flow test was carried out in a Miocene zone although the well also hit hydrocarbons in an Oligocene play.
