UK-based junior Impact Oil & Gas has struck two deals with Total that give the French supermajor access to deep-water acreage in the Orange basin off both Namibia and South Africa, writes Iain Esau.
Total has acquired a 70% stake in Block 2913B in Namibia and will acquire a 77.78% interest in the Orange Basin Deep technical co-operation permit off South Africa, once an Exploration Right (ER) has been granted over that asset.
