France's Total has made it clear that it will have to stop dealing with Iran in a serious blow to a multi-billion-dollar contract to develop a portion of the giant South Pars gas field shared with Qatar, writes Nassir Shirkhani.
Total chief executive Patrick Pouyanne said his company had already cut oil purchases from Iran following US President Donald Trump's decision in May to pull out of the Iran nuclear deal.
