TOTAL has again given a restrained evaluation of its proposed liquefied natural gas project in Papua New Guinea, but acknowledged it “seems to be a good project”, writes Russell Searancke.

The French energy major is the operator of the Elk-Antelope onshore gas complex in the Gulf Province region.

The company has been reserved in its comments about the Elk-Antelope project, also known as Papua LNG, since ExxonMobil came on board as a joint venture partner after acquiring InterOil.
