TOTAL has decided to walk away from Ivory Coast offshore block CI-100 after drilling two dusters without finding the elephant structures that the French major and partner Eni had hoped for in the deep waters abutting the maritime border with Ghana.
Upstream hears from a partner source that an operating committee meeting is set to be held next month when "it is probable" that Eni will also exit the licence.
