Front-end engineering and design is already under way at Mustang Engineering in Houston for a compliant tower similar in design to its predecessor Benguela-Belize. KBR is performing front-end engineering and design separately for the topsides.
The FEED work is expected to run through November, after which EPCI bids will be solicited. Contract award is tentatively set for April 2006, but Chevron is said to be mulling alternative bidding strategies and timelines.
