State-owned Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) is set to award a major 3D seismic survey contract within three months for a shoot over deep and shallow-water acreage in the Rovuma basin.
Lucas Luhaga, a geophysicist at TPDC, told Upstream that bids are currently being evaluated and that a contract will be awarded in May.
He said TPDC’s original invitation to tender was due to close on 8 February but that potential bidders successfully asked for an extension to 22 February.
