Industry sources said Tanzanian Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) requires significant volumes of infill seismic to be gathered on two deep-water blocks.
Leads have been mapped on blocks 4/1B and 4/1C, which were reserved for TPDC under the rules of the country’s 2013 licensing round.
Once this 2D data has been acquired and processed, TPDC will be seeking partners for the blocks, which are located immediately east of BG Group’s gas-rich Block 1 and immediately north of Eni’s enormously prolific Area 4 off Mozambique.
