Russian state-owned oil pipeline operator Transneft has capped Rosneft's volumes for the Druzhba export line to Germany and Poland after finding contaminated oil that became highly corrosive when put into refining process units.

Transneft confirmed it followed though on an earlier warning and imposed a cap on Rosneft’s oil output, amounting to 0.5% of its production of 1.62 million barrels per day, or about 80,000 bpd, claiming that the state-controlled oil producer had flooded the pipeline operator’s storage reservoirs.
