According to Transneft president Semion Veinstock, the company will no longer work to provide capacity to pump an additional 240,000 barrels of oil from Kazakhstan to the terminal within the next 10 years.
Veinstock said that the agreement between Transneft and KazMunaigaz "only guaranteed that the operator was ready to offer technical support to pump this oil in the direction and timeframe set out in the contract".
