The new government of Trinidad & Tobago is planning to review key contracts governing natural gas supply and sales to the Atlantic liquefied natural gas facility ahead of their expiry over the next few years to ensure it is receiving its fair share of revenue from the sector.
Nicole Olivierre, who was appointed Energy Minister by new Prime Minister Keith Rowley, said her organisation would begin a formal review of the contracts governing the four-train Atlantic LNG terminal “to ensure that government revenues under these arrangements are preserved.”
