MAERSK Oil North Sea, Conoco-Phillips and JX Nippon Exploration & Production have all completed their exit from licences containing the high-pressure, high-temperature Jackdaw discovery in the UK central North Sea.

The move comes as Jackdaw operator Shell — which took on that role following its $50 billion acquisition earlier this year of BG Group — confirmed it is focusing development efforts on a potential tie-back.
