A source said commercial bids would be “submitted within a month or so”, after which Anadarko will begin clarification talks.
JGC-Fluor is competing against CB&I-Chiyoda and Bechtel for an engineering, procurement and construction contract covering two trains, each rated to 5 million tonnes per annum.
The trio have already submitted technical solutions to Anadarko after a year-long design competition.
The contract for this first phase of development will also call for associated port infrastructure, utilities and off-site facilities.
