India's Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has confirmed the award of a $1.69 billion integrated subsea umbilicals, flowlines and risers and subsea production systems contract to a consortium of McDermott, Baker Hughes and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for its KG-DWN-98/2 project off the country's east coast, write Nishant Ugal and Steve Marshall.

ONGC said the award of the joint SURF and SPS contract to the trio is intended to "help to eliminate major interface issues among SPS and SURF packages, resulting in time and cost optimisation".
