FIRST gas from Carigali-Triton's $600 million Cakerawala field development in block A-18 in the Malaysia/Thailand joint development area has been delayed by one year, which means contractors will have to wait until late 1999 for fabrication prizes. Engineering, procurement and construction bids for Cakerawala's five platforms -- three wellhead, one production and one accommodation -- will not be invited until the third quarter of 1999 with awards expected by the end of next year, according to a Triton spokesman.
