THE Canadian public has spoken and it has asked for social change in the form of a newly-elected Liberal government — ousting the federal Conservative Party after nearly a decade of leadership.
In what has been called a “historic” election, the race was initially thought to be close but in the end Justin Trudeau and his party garnered a majority government with 184 seats in parliament.
