TSEUK confirmed this week it plans to cease output from the ageing pentagonal-design floater in two years’ time and that it will be removed from the field a year later.
A TSEUK spokesperson said: “Our plan is to cease production in 2017 and remove the Buchan A facility in 2018. Future redevelopment and/or production from the Buchan field is under evaluation.”TSEUK
