Tullow Oil is chasing plays of a “Guyana-type scale” at its freshly-acquired acreage off Argentina, where it is already looking to farm down at one of its three shallow-water blocks.

The Anglo-Irish independent recently picked up one block in each of the northern, middle and southern parts of the Malvinas West basin off Tierra del Fuego in Argentina's first ever offshore licensing round, which attracted a large amount of interest from major players.
