Jim Phillips, chief operating officer of Vancouver-based Africa Oil, a 30% partner in the asset, said a full tensor gravity survey has been completed with “very interesting” results.
The 2D shoot will take place in the western arm of South Omo, which covers an extension of a Tertiary rift system, extending north of Lake Turkana from Tullow’s acreage in Kenya.
Phillips said more than 1000 kilometres of data will be acquired.
