The Swedish energy giant has agreed to sell its Nuon Exploration & Production unit for ¤300 million ($420 million).
It bought Nuon from Burlington Resources in 2008 for ¤443 million.
The acquisition will boost Tullow’s North Sea business by 25 licences, which include more than 30 producing fields, increasing its gas production by 9000 barrels of oil equivalent per day to about 23,000 boepd and adding reserves and resources of 28 MMboe.
