Anglo-Irish independent Tullow Oil is chasing large turbidite targets after deciding to press ahead with exploration drilling off Suriname next year.
The company has selected the Goliathberg-Voltzberg North prospect in its operated Block 47 for drilling in 2020, although key details of the programme have yet to be finalised.
Exploration director Angus McCoss told Upstream: “It (Goliathberg-Voltzberg North) is a very strong candidate for drilling next year.
