Uganda’s government is looking to resolve a taxation issue related to Tullow Oil’s proposed farm down in the Lake Albert oil development “very soon”, writes Eoin O’Cinneide.
Resolution of the issue, which is linked with Tullow’s decision to farm out all-but around 11% of its current 33% holding in the envisaged development equally to partners Total and CNOOC Ltd, is one of several outstanding issues to be addressed before the joint venture takes a final investment decision.
