Dry wells off Norway and Mauritania and onshore Ethiopia are largely behind the expected $415 million write-off, which will come down to $305 million after tax, and of which $150 million relates to wells drilled this year.
Tullow has had a series of dusters this year and late last year.
In December, its Tultule-1 wildcat on the South Omo block in Ethiopia’s North Turkana basin came up dry.
