Two workers this week were injured when a crane boom collapsed on Repsol Sinopec Resources UK’s Fulmar platform in the North Sea.
Repsol Sinopec confirmed two people were treated for “non-life-threatening injuries” following the incident, which happened on Monday 11 September.
One was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for further assessment.
Workforce sources told Upstream the boom of the platform’s west crane came down onto the deck and the worker transferred to hospital is understood to have sustained a broken jaw.
