Petrobras has started a competitive process to select a deep-water rig to work on Colombia’s Tayrona licence.

Partnered by Colombia’s Ecopetrol, the Brazilian deep-water specialist is aiming to drill a prospect called Uchuva in 2020, Upstream was told.

The partners have spent several years analysing the results from the Orca-1 well, which discovered a column of natural gas in a water depth of 674 metres.
