All UK North Sea operators that were challenged by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) to do more to stop dangerous gas leaks have now responded to the offshore safety regulator, writes Rob Watts.
HSE Energy Division director Chris Flint wrote to companies in early May telling them a new approach to tackling hydrocarbon releases was needed after a number of recent gas leaks he said had come “perilously close to disaster”.
