A CLEAN-UP operation to remove oil from a 15-kilometre stretch of coast in north-west England after a spill from Eni’s Liverpool Bay facilities was nearing completion mid-week although tides were still being monitored, writes Rob Watts.
Wyre Council said before Upstream went to press that a small amount of oil continued to be washed up on beaches it administers and this was being removed with the help of specialist oil pollution contractors.
