UK to give operators more licence flexibility

Operators off the UK will be given greater flexibility to influence their licence terms under new plans by the authorities to shake up the current system before the upcoming 29th Seaward Licensing Round.

The UK Oil & Gas Authority (OGA) will offer a new type of licence — called the Innovate Licence — which, for the next round at least, will replace the mix of Traditional, Promote and Frontier licences available up to now.
