The $976 million award demonstrates the willingness of foreign contractors to return to Algeria following the January 2013 terrorist attack against the In Amenas gas plant.
The Reggane North Development Project is being carried out by a partnership of Algerian state-owned company Sonatrach with a 40% stake, Spain's Repsol on 29.25%, Germany's RWE Dea with 19.5% and Italy's Edison on 11.25%.
