State-owned gas pipeline operator Uztransgaz has started the ball rolling on a project to upgrade about 30% of Uzbekistan’s gas trunklines and compression stations, writes Vladimir Afanasiev.
The company said in a tender disclosure notice that, following the receipt of a $1 billion loan from the Asian Development Bank, it is seeking to hire international consultants.
These will prepare tender documents, engineering, procurement and construction contracts, co-ordinate and supervise civic work, as well as conduct other assignments to get the upgrade project up and running.
