The US has imposed fresh sanctions on companies and individuals in Iran, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates for allegedly helping to raise billions of dollars to fund the operations of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards, writes Nassir Shirkhani.
The sanctions are part of punitive measures that are mainly targeting the oil exports that provide Iran with the bulk of its earnings.
