US land drillers are off to a slow start in 2019 with exploration and production companies weighing their options as oil prices recover from a steep drop in the fourth quarter of last year.
Contractor Patterson-UTI expects its active rig count to average 174 in the first three months of 2019, compared with 183 in the final three months of 2018.
