The US natural gas industry has criticised the administration of President Barack Obama over the recently unveiled Clean Power Plan, which aims to reduce carbon emissions from power plants by 32% from 2005 levels by 2030.
The Obama administration has said the new rules will help combat climate change, protect public health and reduce domestic electricity costs. The plan also places pressure on other countries before global climate talks in Paris in November and December.
