US natural gas in storage has hit record levels of 3.97 trillion cubic feet with warm weather and strong production having caused more gas to be ferreted away than ever before, putting further downward pressure on prices.
US drillers sent 49 billion cubic feet of natural gas into underground storage caverns in the week ending 6 November, according to the latest figures from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).
