US oil drillers dropped 10 rigs last week, with the biggest losses in the Permian basin of Texas and New Mexico, according to the latest tally from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The number of active oil rigs this week fell to 843, but that was still higher than 800 in the same period a year ago, according to the Baker Hughes' data.
