Stewart Maxwell, UWG Engineering's regional manager for the Far East, said the UK company is involved in a project off Thailand for operator Coastal Energy.
US player Coastal is developing its small Songhkla oilfield in Block G5/43 in the Gulf of Thailand via a small floater, plus a number of wellhead structures, with the latter based on UWG's Cosmos concept.
The idea is to reduce costs by using well conductors to support a platform's deck instead of a jacket.
