Russian state-owned Zarubezhneft has signed a heads of agreement with Uzbekneftegaz, the state oil company of Uzbekistan.
The agreement calls for the companies to create an equally-owned joint venture to employ enhanced recovery technologies to the Khartum, Eastern Khartum and South Alamyshik fields in Uzbekistan's Fergana region.
