Uzbekistan's Energy Ministry has reported a natural gas discovery with a well drilled into a reservoir below the existing M25 field.
According to the ministry, during testing of this deeper reservoir, operator Surhan Gas Chemical Operating achieved a daily flow rate of 300,000 cubic metres of gas.
The M25 field, which is located in the Surkhandaryinsky region of Uzbekistan, is estimated to contain recoverable reserves of about 100 billion cubic metres of gas.
