Executives from top oil and gas companies were scheduled to meet Pope Francis over the weekend on the final day of a Vatican conference on climate change and the energy transition.
Reuters and other outlets reported that the Pontiff was expected to address the leaders or senior executives from ExxonMobil, Eni, BP, Shell, Equinor and Pemex at the conference, titled Energy Transition and Care for Our Common Home.
