The framework agreement will cover the supply of subsea systems, including wellheads, subsea trees, subsea controls and manifolds.
Sources said the contract had a duration of five years with options for up to three more years, and would be worth tens of millions dollars per year.
It is similar to a pact signed by FMC Technologies and Woodside Petroleum in early 2003 that has led to $200 million worth of work for FMC.
