The Yen Tu-1X well in block 106 hit oil in two zones first in the secondary miocene, and then in the main basement target.
Test results were still being analysed by the partners as Upstream went to press, but initial analysis showed the Yen Tu-1X well contained light and sweet 43.2-degrees API oil.
