Woodside and co-venturer Mitsui Oil bought the FPSO earlier this year from Maersk, and handover is expected next month.
FPSO reliability and availability improvements are needed especially as Woodside said it plans to extend the Vincent field’s life. The floater will be taken offline for up to five months in the first half next year, added Woodside.
In the quarter ended 30 June 2012, Vincent production was about 46,000 barrels per day.
