Sembcorp Marine confirmed this week that it has formalised the award of a major contract to supply a production platform for Shell’s Vito deep-water project in the US Gulf of Mexico as completed units for another big project, Culzean in the UK North Sea, began to leave its facilities in Singapore, writes Josh Lewis.

The company’s Sembcorp Marine Rigs & Floaters subsidiary was awarded the contract to build and integrate the hull, topsides and living quarters for the Vito semi-submersible floating production unit.
