W&T Offshore has made an oil discovery at the Gladden Deep wildcat in the US Gulf of Mexico.
The find is small, with preliminary analysis suggesting a recoverable resource in line with pre-drill estimates of 7 million barrels of oil equivalent.
The discovery is set to be brought online in the fourth quarter via a subsea tieback to the Medusa spar through the existing Gladden pipeline, 20% partner Kosmos Energy said on 4 June.
