Abadi, located on the Masela production sharing contract, could be developed as a new LNG project in Indonesia; as an expansion of ConocoPhillips' Wickham Point (Bayu-Undan) LNG facility in Northern Territory, Australia; as a floating LNG project; or as a gas-to-liquids project.
"The Australia LNG option is considered a strong candidate as the water depths (in which the pipeline would be laid) are shallower than those to the two Indonesian locations that have been identified," a source said.
