Water injection is under way on one well and Tag estimates it could take six to nine months to see a production response from the water injection.
The operator took encouragement from a small-scale waterflood at a different Cheal well which showed the potential to enhance oil recovery in Tag’s permits.
Tag is currently producing 1200 barrels of oil equivalent per day from the Cheal field.
