Norwegian operator Equinor and partners Lundin Petroleum and Spirit Energy are set to appraise their Lille Prinsen oil discovery in the prolific Utsira High area of the North Sea next year.
“We feel comfortable, both Lundin and Equinor, that Lille Prinsen is commercial,” Lundin chief executive Alex Schneiter said at the Pareto Oil & Offshore conference in Oslo.
Lille Prinsen is one of the most promising discoveries off Norway this year, with 15 million to 35 million barrels of oil equivalent as a preliminary estimate.
