TechnipFMC is in a favourable position for a significant new offshore pipeline contract linked to the second construction phase of the Nam Con Son 2 pipeline in southern Vietnam.
There were up to five international companies initially in the running for the job — TechnipFMC, Sapura Energy, McDermott, Hilong and Larsen & Toubro, said sources.
The evaluation process saw three bidders disqualified and commercial offers received from only two.
